Check-in and check-out

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and must be approved in advance.

Direct whole-property reservations

A 50% deposit is required when booking to reserve the entire property.

• Cancellations made more than 60 days before check-in receive a refund of the deposit.
• Cancellations made 31–60 days before check-in forfeit the 50% deposit.
• The remaining balance is due 30 days before check-in.
• Cancellations made 30 days or fewer before check-in are nonrefundable.
• Reservations made within 30 days of check-in require full payment when booking.

Reservations made through Airbnb are governed by the payment and cancellation terms displayed by Airbnb.

Pets and service animals

Pets are not permitted anywhere on the property. Service animals are not considered pets and will be accommodated as required by applicable law and booking-platform policies.

Visitors and guest responsibility

Visitors are permitted, but the registered guest is responsible for the conduct of everyone they invite onto the property. Visitors must follow all property rules and may not create unreasonable noise, parking problems, overcrowding, or interference with other guests.

Visitors, vendors, or gatherings connected to a wedding, reception, ceremony, party, or organized event are not covered by a lodging reservation.

Weddings, events, and group stays

Cottage and whole-property lodging reservations are for overnight accommodations and ordinary private group stays only.

Weddings, ceremonies, receptions, rehearsals, parties, commercial activities, and organized events require prior written approval, a separate event agreement, and the applicable event fee.

Using a lodging reservation for an unauthorized wedding or event is a material violation of the reservation. Lakeside Cottages may require the activity to stop, remove unauthorized visitors, terminate the stay as permitted by law or the applicable booking platform, and seek reimbursement for additional cleaning, damage, security, or other documented costs.

For direct reservations, guests who hold an unauthorized wedding or event may also be responsible for the difference between the lodging amount paid and the applicable event package price when this charge is disclosed and accepted in the signed rental agreement.

Lake, beach, and dock safety

No lifeguard is present. Swimming and use of the lake, beach, dock, boats, watercraft, and other recreational areas are at each guest's own risk.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult around the water, beach, and dock. Guests are responsible for evaluating weather, water conditions, swimming ability, and the suitability of any recreational activity. Appropriate life jackets and safety equipment should be used.

Glass is not permitted on the beach or dock. Guests must follow all posted safety instructions and designated swimming and watercraft areas.

Smoking, conduct, and property care

Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside all cottages and on cottage porches.

Guests must avoid excessive noise, disorderly conduct, unsafe behavior, and activities that interfere with other guests or neighboring properties. Guests must promptly report damage or safety concerns. The registered guest is responsible for damage caused by members of their party or visitors.

Furniture, linens, towels, dishes, and other cottage property may not be removed from the unit. Grills may be used only in designated grilling areas and never on cottage porches.

Lakeside Cottages may require a guest or visitor to leave for serious or repeated violations of these policies, subject to applicable law and booking-platform procedures.
