- How long is a seasonal stay?

Seasonal stays typically run from November through April, with most guests staying 2–5 months. Monthly and multi-month stays are available based on availability.

- Are the cottages fully furnished?

Yes. All cottages are fully furnished and move-in ready, including:

- What are the bed configurations in the cottages?

The Main House (Max Occupancy – 6): Two bedrooms and 2 baths. One queen bed, two twins and a sleeper sofa in the living room

The Large House (Max Occupancy – 8): Three bedrooms and two baths. Two queen beds, two twins and a sleeper sofa in the living room

The Small House (Max Occupancy – 4): One bedroom. One queen bed and a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Four Duplex Units (Max Occupancy – 4 in each): Two of the duplex units have two queen beds and the other two have one queen and one sleeper sofa.

Three lake front cottages (Max Occupancy 2 in each): Each cottage has one queen bed.

- Are utilities included?

Yes. All utilities are included in monthly and seasonal rentals, making budgeting simple and predictable.

- Is fishing available year-round?

Yes. Bass fishing is available year-round on spring-fed Lake Clay, which maintains consistent water quality and temperatures.

- Can we bring our own boat or jet ski?

Yes. Guests are welcome to bring their own boats and jet skis and enjoy easy access to the lake.

- Is kayaking available?

Yes. Kayaking is available on site, making it easy to enjoy the lake at your own pace.

- Is the property quiet?

Very. Lakeside Cottages is designed for guests seeking a peaceful, relaxed environment, especially during the winter months. It's not a party destination.

- Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted in the cottages.

- Is this a good location for snowbirds?

Yes. Lake Placid offers a quiet Central Florida lifestyle, away from coastal congestion, while still providing warm weather, outdoor activities, and easy day trips.

- Are there washers and dryers?

There is a coin-operated laundry facility on the property.

- How early should we book for winter?

Winter availability is limited and typically fills months in advance. We recommend inquiring as early as possible for November–April stays.

- Are Deposits Refundable?

The initial deposit is nonrefundable, but we will allow you to move the deposit to another date one time. Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival.
